FUTA student Brutalised for calling colleague "runs girl"

A student of the Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo, is Saturday beaten to a pulp by his colleagues.

Victim, identified only as Bolu, is a one-year student Ecotourism and Wildlife Management in institutions

In the video of the incident seen by SaharaReporters, three male students, including student beat a helpless look.

Male students who are identified as Obalola, 300-level student of Industrial Design, is seen using a horsewhip on the victim.

The woman was attacked hospitalized at the medical center institutions.

One source at the school told our reporter that the young woman was attacked to "speak ill" of his senior colleagues.

The source said, "The young woman is a 100 level student and he was having problems with some of the women outside the campus.

"I learned that women have always abused them and also expose some of their bad behavior such as 'walk' that they do in college.

"They set the woman yesterday and confronted him to start talks on a repeat them.

"I realized that the woman always called them prostitutes and torturing them to sleep with people while leaving the false life on campus.

"This is the thing that angered women and make their report to the people close to him, but I think he still does not stop from exposing them.

"So, they invited a man claiming to be the father of the school and he was the one used horses laps to beat the young woman in the video you see."

Authorities of the institution on Sunday said they had been able to identify the students behind the attack on the student.

Spokesman Futa, Adegbenro Adebanjo, adding that the offender has been suspended while an investigation has also been launched into the case.
