Three children were believed to be victims of child trafficking have been rescued by the Anambra State Police Command.
Children rescued in Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area by police officers also arrested two women caught in the act.
Anambra State Police spokesman, who confirmed the arrest of Mohammed Haruna woman said children are trafficked every male between the ages of one to five years. He added that the suspects would be charged to court after investigations have been concluded.
Today about 01:30, following intelligence reports, detectives attached to Ogidi Division arrested two female suspects in Nkpor in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State."They were arrested with three children, all boys, whose ages range between one and five years respectively."The suspect negotiate about how to sell children suspected to have been stolen / traded from the village Enugu-Otu in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State," he said
