Here are key facts you should know about Ms Farouq:
Ms Farouq was born on November 5, 1974. She is of Zurmi local government areas, the state of Zamfara.
She attended Federal Government Girls' High Gusau, Zamfara after which he proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State where he obtained his first degree in business administration in 1998.
He further obtained a Master's degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy in 2008. In 2011, he bagged a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), both from the same university.
From 2011-2013, the national treasurer position Farouq Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) bid, the party of President Buhari contested platform for the 2011 presidential election which he lost to former president Goodluck Jonathan.
The CPC is one of the four political parties that merged to form the ruling APC were finally ousted Jonathan and the PDP in 2015.
He was the national treasurer APC from 2013 to 2014. He was then appointed as a member of the All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council.
He led the selection and monitoring of planning, field operations, and fundraising committee made it plays an important role in the success of the party in the general election in 2015.
He previously headed the National Commission for refugees, migrants and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
